Ann received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the accredited New England School of Acupuncture in Boston, MA– the first program to teach this art/science in the US. This 3 year masters program required over 2400 hours of study and practicum in Traditional Chinese Medicine– teaching extensive diagnostics and treatment using both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She holds national certification in both of these modalities by the NCCAOM. Ann is a member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine and is licensed to practice in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, and as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in New Mexico. She has also been a practicing pharmacist for over 20 years, and possesses a deep understanding of the physiology of the body and the pharmacology of medicines. She has taught numerous classes to the public and health professionals on healing using pharmaceutical medicines, western and Chinese herbs and acupuncture. Her Western medical background provides a unique, integrative perspective, bringing together aspects of Eastern and Western medicine in a safe, effective way. Louise received her Maine Licensure after completing the Therapeutic Massage program at Spa Tech Institute in Portland, Maine. Her training consists of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Neuromuscular, and Myofacial Massage Modalities. Louise has also received extensive training in Hydrotherapy, Foot and Hand Reflexology, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. She is Nationally Certified and a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals. Louise takes pride in offering her clients the healing power of conscious touch massage.
